Many have asked how we chose our name. Taboodoir is a portmanteau of taboo and boudoir:
ta•boo (tă•bo͞o)  a prohibition excluding something from use or mention because of its sacred nature.
bou•doir (bo͞o•dwär) a small room, esp. if pleasant or elegantly furnished, to which a lady may retire to be alone, or to receive intimate friends; a lady's dressing room or bedroom; a woman—or man's—private chamber.
